Outcome Relevant details: The Dog team and Killin MRT personnel made progress up the mountain from the Auchreoch Glen. The lost walkers had provided an approximate Grid Reference which the team aimed for and commenced a search in the poor visibility. Happily the 2 walkers had already been located by other hillwalkers and were being led down the mountain towards the search teams and the welcome sight of Search Dog Dugald.

The walkers were appreciative of the teams efforts and were uninjured and relieved to be led to safety.

Outcome Relevant details: The dog team made it through the severe drifts to the farms where the occupants were requiring support and medicines, which was provided.

This incident occurred during a week of severe snow storms in South west Scotland and Arran which was featured in the media and TV Channels across the UK. Many homes became stranded and power was lost due to electricity power lines being affected by the ice and snow.

Outcome Relevant details: Happily a dog team from SARDA Scotland located the man a few kms to&nbsp;the southeast of the summit of Ben Vorlich. He was cold tired but otherwise safe and well. He was able to walk of the hill guided by searchers. A successful and happy outcome.&nbsp;

Dog teams were tasked to search woodland around Braehead Golf Course and the Lornshill area.
Outcome Relevant details: The search was stood down after nothing was found. Further&nbsp;police enquiries ongoing.
This incident was one of three urgent searches for vulnerable missing people ongoing in the Clackmannanshire at the same time stretching resources considerably.
Interest - Dog handler Rupert had to contact the Fire Service after discovering a fire at a disused house within his search area. His quick reaction prevented further damage.
Time associated with this call-out: 11 hours</description><link>http://www.sarda.org.uk/pages/posts/call-out-11-27th-february-2013510.php</link></item><item><title>Call Out 10  26th February 2013</title><description>Brief Summary of Task:&nbsp;1 dog team (Andy &amp; Dugald) assisted&nbsp;Central Scotland Police&nbsp;and Killin Mountain Rescue Team, in 2 unconnected searches ongoing at the same time.&nbsp;There were&nbsp;2&nbsp;overdue hillwalkers at two separate locations, namely Ben More and Stob Choin near Inverlochlarig in Balquhidder Glen. &nbsp;The Killin MRT split into 2 search teams devoted to the separate incidents.
Outcome Relevant details: Ben More - 72 year old man was reported overdue by local hotel staff where he was staying. Dog team were on standby as Killin MRT Team members located a solitary torch light on the NW side of the mountain. The torch light was the missing man who'd fallen on the steep sided slope. He had minor injuries and was airlifted from the mountain by RAF helicopter. He was returned to his hotel safe and well. The dog team were thereafter directed along with the rest of the Killin MRT to join the search at Inverlochlarig.
Stob Choin (southside of Balquhidder Glen near Inverlochlarig) - 66 year old man was reported overdue whilst walking the Corbett - Stob Choin. Search parties were engaged in searching the northface of the mountain with assistance of the RAF helicopter. Dog Team were&nbsp;tasked to search westside of the mountain and were about to be deploy when the body of&nbsp;a&nbsp;male was located on the northside of&nbsp;Stob Choin by Killin MRT members.&nbsp;(FATALITY)

Missing females located by Rescue 177 after having spent the night in a forest. They were cold and hungry and airlifted by Rescue 177 to Hospital.

The banks of the River Forth and Abbey Craig near The Wallace Monument were searched over the 2 days with no trace of the male.

The missing person was found walking on the M9 Motorway on 21/12/2012.  He was safe but subsequently received medical attention at hospital.

2012 - 06 Carron Bridge DAY 2 - 2 dogs assisted Central Scotland Police and teams from Ochils MRT and Lomond MRT in a continuation of the search for the missing woman. Search teams were tasked to search farmland and woods surrounding Loch Coulter and&nbsp;Buckieburn Reservoirs.&nbsp;About 30-45 minutes after the search commenced information came to light that the lady was infact sheltering within a caravan at the Carron Bridge&nbsp;Hotel. The search was stood down after the police located the lady and she&nbsp;was subsequently conveyed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital&nbsp;for further assessment.
