2012 - 07 - Ben Macdui - 1 dog assisted Grampian Police and Tayside MRT along with dogs from SARDA Scotland in the continuation of a search for a missing man on Ben Macdui. The experienced hillwalker had been missing for over 6 days and extensive searches were carried out previously. A vast area of land to the west of Ben MacDui was searched but nothing found. The search was stood down pending more suitable and favourable weather conditions.

2012 - 06 Carron Bridge DAY 1 - 2 dogs assisted Central Scotland Police and Ochils Mountain Rescue Team in the search for a vulnerable 47 year old woman reported missing from her home at Auchenhill Stud Farm near to Carron Bridge (a few miles from Denny). Family members expressed concern for the lady who was last seen 2 days previously, after tending to her horses. Search teams were tasked to search fields and woodland to the south of the River Carron. Weather conditions were atrocious with strong winds and heavy rain. The search was subsequently stood down until the following morning 26/01/2012.

2012 - 06 Carron Bridge DAY 2 - 2 dogs assisted Central Scotland Police and teams from Ochils MRT and Lomond MRT in a continuation of the search for the missing woman. Search teams were tasked to search farmland and woods surrounding Loch Coulter and Buckieburn Reservoirs. About 30-45 minutes after the search commenced information came to light that the lady was infact sheltering within a caravan at the Carron Bridge Hotel. The search was stood down after the police located the lady and she was subsequently conveyed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for further assessment.

2012 - 05 St Andrews DAY 1 - 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabulary along with 1 dog from SARDA Scotland in the search for a missing 47 year old farmer a few miles south of St Andrews. Searches were carried out in farmland and woodland surrounding his home farm but stood down after nothing was found. Searches to resume again 24/01/2012.

2012 - 05 St Andrew DAY 2 - 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabulary in a continuation of the search of farmland and woods surrounding the farming Estate where the missing man lived and worked. Despite many hours of searching nothing was found. Search stood down at this point pending further police enquiries.

UPDATE - Missing man returned home safe and well.

2012 - 04 - Cowdenbeath - 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabulary in the search for a missing and vulnerable 16 year old girl in the Cowdenbeath area. The dog teams were stood down prior to deployment after the girl was located by police officers near to the railway line in the town. Safe and Well.

2012 - 03 - Dalgety Bay - 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabulary in the search for a 91 year old man suffering from dementia missing from his home in Dalgety Bay. Dog teams were deployed into various open spaces near to his home, hoever, after about 2 hours the search was stood down after the elderly man returned to his house safe and well.

2012 - 02 Stranraer - 1 dog assisted Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary, Galloway MRT along with teams from Coastguard, SARDA Scotland and SARDA Lakes in the search for a missing 61 year old man intent on self harm. The search was focused near to the village of Dunragit near to Luce Sands about 10 kms SE of Stranraer. The missing man's car was found parked in woodland popular with dog walkers late at night and a search was scheduled to start the following morning (09 Jan). A short while after teams were deployed in woodland the body of a male was found a few hundred metres from where his car was left and the search stood down. 2012 - 01 Cowdenbeath - 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabulary in the search for a missing and vulnerable male missing from his home in the town. Concern was heightened after he intimated that he had suicidal intentions. Dog teams were tasked to search woodland and open farmland near Cowdenbeath and Lumphinnans which was carried out into mid-evening darkness hours. The search was subsequently stood down after the male was found at his home address by police officers safe and well.

2011 - 34 - Lochgilphead - 1 dog assisted Strathclyde Police and Oban Mountain Rescue Team in the search for a vulnerable missing 42 year old man from an address in Lochgilphead. Search teams were tasked to search open areas of woodland forest tracks and golf course but nothing found. The search was stood down pending further police enquiries.

2011 - 33 - Beinn Sgulaird - 1 dog assisted Strathclyde Police and Oban Mountain Rescue Team in the search for 2 missing walkers on Beinn Sgulaird east of Oban. The search was also assisted by Rescue 137 RAF helicopter and the hillwalkers were subsequently located, by MRT members, when they signalled by flashing their torches, just below the summit of the mountain. RAF helicopter winched the walkers from the hill, who were cold, but otherwise safe and well.
