Search and Rescue Dogs Association (Southern Scotland)

2008-38- 1 Dog assisted Killin Mountain Rescue Team and Central Scotland Police along with a dog from SARDA Scotland in the search for a missing walker on Stuc a Chroin north of Callander. He was lost in the mist and had phoned via mobile phone. After a search through the night he was located by members of Killin Mountain Rescue Team and evacuated from the hill.

3008-37- 2 dogs en-route to assist Borders Search and Rescue Unit and Lothian and Borders Police in the search for a missing man near Duns. Whilst en-route the body of a man was located and the dogs stood down. (Fatality)

2008-36- Call from Central Scotland Police to search for a missing man in the Denny area. He was located by the police while dogs were being allocated to the incident.

2008-35- 1 Dog assisted Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and Lothian and Borders Police in the search for a missing woman in the Livingston area. Nothing was found and the search stood down.

2008-34-1 Dog assisted Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and Lothian and Borders Police in the search for a missing man near Selkirk. During the search a body was located by a member of the rescue team (Fatality)

2008-33- 1 Dog assisted Strathclyde Police and HM Coastguard in the search for a missing woman in the Fionnphort area of the Isle of Mull. During the search she was located in a guest house in the town!

2008-32- 1 Dog en-route to assist Galloway Mountain Rescue Team and Dumfries and Galloway Police in the search for a missing elderly woman near St John's Town of Dalry. She was located while the dog handler was en-route to the incident

2008-31- 2 Dogs assisted Central Scotland Police along with a dog from SARDA Scotland in the search for a missing woman in the Doune area. After a protracted search throughout the day she was located by a member of the public outwith the search area.

2008-30- Call from Central Scotland police to assist in the search for a vulnerable missing child. It was stood down just as dogs were being allocated.

2008-29- Call to assist Oban Mountain Rescue Team and Strathclyde Police along with HM Coastguard and SARDA Scotland in the search for a missing farmer near Connel. Just as dogs were being allocated the missing man was located by HM Coastguard.
