2010- 26 - 2 dogs assisted Killin MRT and Central Scotland Police in the search of a hillwalker lost in mist on Cruach Ardrain near Crianlarich. She'd lost her compass and become disorientated whilst decending. Upon mist clearing she managed to speak with police on telephone and have a sighting on farm buildings and loch below which were identified as Inverlochlarig / Loch Voil in Balquhidder Glen. 2010- 25 - 1 dog (and 4 dog teams on standby) assisted Ochils MRT and Central Scotland Police in the search for a vulnerable 25 year old female. The young woman had gone walking in the Ochil Hills above Menstrie, Clackmannanshire and remained missing overnight. Search teams subsequently traced the woman the following day on the steep slopes of Myreton Hill and she was led to safety. Read More |

2010- 24 - 1 dog assisted Lomond MRT and Central Scotland Police in the search for a male hillwalker disorientated and lost in misty conditions on Garloch Hill in the Campsie Fells. The man was eventually found cold and tired but otherwise unhurt. He was assisted from the hill by team members. Read More |

2010- 23- 2 dogs assisted Fife Constabluary in the search of a 75 year old man who went missing in the village of Auchtertool near Kirkcaldy. Last seen walking towards his home address the searches were concentrated in fields and woodland near the village. Missing person was subsequently found by searching police officers down a steep hill on the edge of a cornfield. He was alive but suffering effects of exposure and injury as a result of a fall. 2010- 22- 1 dog assisted Central Scotland Police in the search of a Polish student at Stirling University. The missing student was subsequently found by police near aloch within the grounds of the university alive and conveyed to hospital. Handler stood down on route. Read More |

2010- 21 - 1 dog assisted Arran MRT and Strathclyde Police in the search of a 52 year old man who'd been walking on the island. Search carried out in the Glen Sannox and Glen Rosa areas. Unbeknown to searchers and family members the man had returned to his holiday home and was happily watching television. Read More |

2010- 20- 1 dog assisted Killin MRT and Central Scotland Police in the search of a missing 45 year old male who'd gone for an early morning walk onto Ben Challum near Tyndrum. Assistance was also obtained from Rescue 177 Navy SAR Helicopter from HMS Gannet. The missing man was subsequently found alive, by Rescue 177, near to the summit of the mountain suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. He was conveyed to hospital and made a full recovery. 2010- 19- 1 dog with 2 on route assisted Central Scotland Police and Lomond MRT in the search of a missing soldier from England. His vehicle was found abandoned on a secluded road near Ballikinrain, Balfron, overlooked by the Fintry hills, where the search was being concentrated. As events unfolded police were following a positive line of enquiry to trace the person and handlers were stood down on route. The soldier was subsequently traced safe and well. Read More |
