What donations are used for
Between dog and handler around £2000 of kit will be carried on the hill to look after the dog, handler and the casualty on a rescue. This will include items such as Avalanche Transceivers, radios, dog jacket, winching harness, first aid kit, neck collar, torches, waterproof clothing, rucksack, global positioning receiver, radio and much more. This all has to be carried to ensure that the team is effective on the hill.

SARDA Southern Scotland welcomes donations in any form to help keep this valuable service running. This includes gift aid donations, legacies, sponsorship and public donations. All the money raised goes towards ensuring our dogs are trained to the highest level always ready to assist in the search for missing people.
