Killin training weekend - 7-9th July
July 7, 2017
This month we were training in some great areas around Killin. On Saturday we were treated to some glorious sunshine near Ben Lawers with dogs and handlers getting to practice search skills with some fine views. On Sunday it was a different story with rain and midges but a great training day all the same. Over the weekend some of our qualified dog teams assisted Police Scotland Ochils Mountain Rescue Team and Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team in the search for a missing person in the Grangemouth/Bo'ness area. Dog teams(Iain & Poppy, Andy & Dugald, John & Rauour, Kirstie & Caileag) on Saturday and Dog teams(Trefor & Fly, John & Rauour, Iain & Poppy) on the Sunday. As always a massive thank you to everyone who makes our training weekends possible, including all our "bodies" who hide out come rain, shine or midge allowing us to train our dogs! Special mention to our youngest and first time bodies Matthew & Callum who braved the midges for a few hours on Sunday with their Grandad John Morris - Thank you!! It was also nice to see Simon and Caroline with their dogs Tumble and Skirrid from Search and Rescue Dogs Association (Sarda Wales) who came up to join us training for the weekend 🐾🐾
